The Environment
PPS Group a.s. is aware of its responsibility for the environment. Compliance with legislative requirements is considered to be the basis of protection and development of the environment. In our work, we strive for a proactive approach and prevention of environmental problems.
Natural resources of groundwater are used to supply drinking water into the site. All waste water from the site is cleaned in our own treatment plant. A boiler burning wood chips has been installed in 2007 to increase use of renewable energy.
The impact of our activities on the environment is reduced by:
- Selecting the best available technology for new projects;
- Operation of our waste water treatment plant;
- Reducing waste by introduction of rigorous separation;
- Recovering maximum quantities of waste;
- Measuring emissions we generate;
- Minimising the use of non-renewable resources;
- Regular analysis of the environment.
